The set contains a wooden board with 12 by 18 squares and numerals 1-18 printed across the top, plus a wooden box containing 9 red wooden strips and 9 blue wooden strips of varying lengths printed with numerals 1-9.

Develops concrete understanding of addition facts and supports the transition toward more abstract arithmetic.

Activity:
Children arrange the numbered red and blue strips on the board to model addition combinations and observe numerical relationships.

Durable, beautiful

We received this as a hand me down from a classroom where hundreds of children had already used it. The paint is still intact, colors bright, and board clear. Very durable and attractive material. Thank you!

Fun to manipulate!

People suggested I make my own addition strip board but I am so glad I got this one! The wooden strip board are fun to manipulate and my children now love practicing their additions with this fun work!

Fun, challenging work!

A few of the children in my classroom just started using the addition strip board last week to complete simple equations. They have been having a lot of fun with this challenging work. The product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I also ordered the addition equations and sums box, but it has not arrived yet because it is on back order.
