Globe of World Parts (Sandpaper)

Globe of World Parts (Sandpaper) gives children a sensorial impression of land and water. The beige sanded surface represents land, while the smooth blue surface represents the ocean, allowing children to distinguish the two through touch and sight. The globe is made of high-quality ABS with sand and smooth surfaces. A beechwood base holds the globe at a 23.5-degree angle, corresponding to the earth’s axis in relation to the sun.

Educational Purpose:
Introduces the relationship between land and water while refining tactile and visual discrimination.

Activity:
Children feel the contrasting surfaces, rotate the globe, and identify areas representing land and ocean.
